We need your help! Make an impact in your community, consider volunteering for the Meals on Wheels program. 

Dearborn Senior Services is seeking Meals on Wheels volunteer drivers to deliver lunch and a friendly greeting to homebound seniors in the City of Dearborn. Volunteers may choose from a regular route or be a substitute driver. The route you choose can be one day a week or more, depending on your preference. Routes generally take one to two hours in the morning and consist of 5-10 stops.

Register

Meals on Wheels offers home delivery of five meals a week Monday thru Thursday to eligible Dearborn seniors. Elegible seniors must be:

  • Age 60 years or older
  • Homebound - unable to leave their house unassisted
  • Must be home to receive the meal delivery

Senior Services also hosts a Liquid Nutrition program for individuals 60 or over who are unable to ingest solid food due to debilitating disease or condition.

In order to qualify a physician must complete the Wayne County Nutrition Services medical form indicating the person's need for liquid meals.

The eligible client or representative is responsible for picking up the liquid nutrition at the Dearborn Senior Center on the first Wednesday of each month. Pickup times are from 9 AM to 12 PM.
