Dearborn Specials / Arts & Recreation Enabling
A program for adults with disabilities
For nearly three decades, the Dearborn Recreation & Parks Department has sponsored the Dearborn Specials/Arts & Recreation Enabling program for adults with disabilities andtheir families and friends.
This fall, the Dearborn Specials/Arts & Recreation Enabling program will offer dances, swim nights, gym nights, holiday craft nights and pizza & bingo nights. All of the activities are hosted or instructed by Recreation Specialist Camille Gibson and take place at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.
Registration is required for all activities and is accepted in person, by mail, by phone or online at https://onlineregistration.dearbornfordcenter.com
Dances -- held usually on the second Tuesday of the month from 7-9 p.m. in the Hubbard Ballroom and featuring a live DJ. Tickets must be purchased at the Michael A. Guido Theater Box Office the day of the event after 11 a.m.
Gym Nights -- offered Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in six-week sessions.
Holiday Craft Nights -- conducted on selective Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Pizza & Bingo -- conducted on selective Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

- Registration is required for all programs one week prior to the start date.
- Activities are for ages 17 and up.
- If one-on-one assistance is needed, please plan on a caretaker participating in the programs.
